PervasID, developers and manufacturers of the world’s most accurate RAIN RFID fixed reader systems, will be showcasing its portfolio of products at RFID & Wireless IoT 2019 for the first time. The event, the largest of its kind in Europe, is taking place at the Darmstadium in Darmstadt from 29-30th October and senior representatives from the company will be present for the duration of the tradeshow.

PervasID will be presenting its ground-breaking Multi Ranger system, an end-to-end solution that combines its award-winning ultra-wide-area tracking and theft-prevention systems to deliver 99% plus accurate inventory management and stock movement capabilities, as well as detailed information on lost, misplaced or stolen items for traceability purposes.

Other products being presented include:

  • Space Ranger – a wide-area fixed RFID system for tracking & locating (zone) items and assets with 99%+ accuracy in large areas such as warehouses or stock rooms
  • Portal Ranger – a high-performing fixed RFID system for entrances/exits, dock doors and choke points
  • Security Ranger – an alarm/anti-theft fixed RFID system for optimal security

“The difference between 80% and 99% accuracy levels can have profound consequences on production lines in terms of throughput, downtime and lost revenue,” explains Sabesan Sithamparanathan, Founder & CEO of PervasID. “Our range of patented fixed RFID reader systems deliver unmatched results over other solutions in real time, enabling our customers to streamline processes through automation and informed decision making.”

As Industry 4.0 and associated smart manufacturing processes gain foothold, fixed passive RFID tracking systems must be able to do much more than just track and count items en masse. They must have intelligence built-in so they can determine the exact time individual items passed through a door portal or loading dock, as well as the direction of travel, to facilitate AI-driven processes. However, due to the complexities associated with RF Signal reflection and the dead spots created as a result, it has, until now, been impossible to accurately measure and capture directional data.

PervasID’s unique passive RFID technology overcomes RFID dead spot challenges, delivering almost 100% accurate read rates in real time as a result. Not only does this empower organisations to make informed decisions, it offers the potential to track and count RFID tags traveling in multiple directions simultaneously on the same core infrastructure, enabling organisations to optimise their existing RFID investment.
